The price of hard clear & TPU soft case of NEW 3DS XL are almost same :3 (besides, there’s also only whole white hard case for NEW 3DS XL)
Which means the side are all transparent except case for NEW 3DS XL
There’re only TPU soft case for 3DS/NEW3DS/3DS XL/NEW 3DS XL
TPU case are thicker than clear case :3
